Statement of Purpose
The Society for Human Resource Management student organization strives to develop future leaders and decision-makers. Our focus is on a real-world view of issues that involve the management and motivation of employees. The Missouri State SHRM student chapter offers contact with local professionals through bi-weekly meetings and participation in the Springfield Area Human Resources Association (SAHRA). Other activities include business facility tours, internship opportunities, opportunities to attend annual conferences, recognition awards, and an annual scholarship. Membership in the national organization gives access to thousands of professionals, job openings nation-wide, and professional publications. We eagerly accept members from any major wishing to enrich their academic experience and/or seeking opportunities to develop their leadership skills.
