Lectures in class can be boring ...but SAC Lectures Events are always fun! In the past, Lectures has brought events such as The Great Porn Debate, PostSecret, Heads vs. Feds, Femicide at our Border, and Alcohol and the Law. This committee aims to inform students about issues affecting their lives, community, and world in an informative, entertaining, and relevant way.

March 7, 2012: Erin Gruwell in the PSU Theater at 7:00 PM
Erin Gruwell, notable for her inspriration of the Freedom Writers movie, is coming to MSU to share her inspiring story about her experience at an inner city school in California. She is recognized for writing "The Freedom Writers Diary" with her California classroom as well as "Teach with Your Heart." Erin will discuss tolerance in the classroom, and she will show discuss with students how she was able to overcome adversity in her classroom and inspire her students to excel. Do not miss hte chance to meet the woman who flipped the perspective of many overlooked students and changed their lives forever.
SAC films is showing "Freedom Writers" afterward at 9:00 PM!

April 10, 2012: Ann Coulter in the Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts at 7:00 PM
Ann Coulter will be coming to Missouri State University to speak about various issues related to her political beliefs, which is very relavent given that election year is approaching.
Ann is a lawyer, author and columnist. She is very recognizable person who speaks frequently at various events about her conservative ideals. She has often appeared on television, radio, and of course speaking engagements.
