General Assembly Meeting Minutes
Minutes for the 2009-2010 General Assembly Meetings.
Wednesday, November 4th
Service:
- Shoebox for Soldiers had a GREAT turn out, we were able to send 3 boxes!!! Thank you SO MUCH for your donations!!!
- Crosslines: Saturday, Nov 21, 11:30a-2:30p: Crosslines is a food and clothing bank, we'll be putting together baskets of food for people for Thanksgiving!
Social:
- Movie Night at the Palace Theater! Tuesday, Nov. 10th. Tickets are only $1, but we will more than likely be covering the cost.
- Keep an eye out for an email with more information on what movie and what time (7ish).
Induction:
- Feb. 27th 1:00p-3:00p PSU Theater
- TELL YOUR FRIENDS: Any freshman with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher at the end of the semester will be sent a formal invitation to join Phi Eta Sigma.
- If you joined AFTER Induction last year, you may still be formally Inducted this year.
Formal:

Saturday, April 10th, 8p-11p PSU East Ballroom

Next meeting we'll take names of those interested in being on Formal Committee (Exercise your creativity! Decide on a theme, help with decorations, decide on food, etc.) Lot's of fun and a great way to earn active member points!
What's new with SGA?
- Working on getting "Bear Park North" and "Bear Park South" signs on Parking Garage Building
- Changes in Gen Ed requirements (will only affect incoming freshmen): debate over Personal Finance vs. CIS & Capstone Course may be coming back, so they're trying to get rid of it completely
- Changes to Public Affairs: may become a part of curriculum

We will be selling Phi Eta Sigma t-shirts at the next meeting. The black ones are $8, and we have some older ones (smallest size-Med.) for $3.
IMPORTANT !
December 2nd will be our last meeting for the semester. We will be giving out active membership certificates for the semester. I understand that our meeting will come before some of our service events for December. I still encourage you to participate, the best way to get into the holiday spirit is by helping others and giving back to the community :). You can still gain your active membership AFTER the certificates are given out at the meeting (I will get them to you, regardless).
