THE LEGEND OF DELTA OMEGA (Told through Kappa Ships)

The Legend of the Delta Omega chapter of KAΨ, born as early as the 1950s, has long been entrenched with men of solid resolve who deviated from the realm of complacency with the common life: When Fred A. Fayne of Beta Gamma relocated to M.U. for medical school (later joined by Kenneth H. Moppins, David Goss, and Roscoe H. Adams of the Beta Nu Chapter as well as William S. Hardy of the Alpha Mu Chapter), they then sought to establish the University of Missouri Columbias first African American Greek Letter Organization of its kind. On March 18^th, 1961 it was the K-NINE instinct of charter line that began this journey. In the konstruction of this Divine9 foundation, the DEVIL may have taken on many innocent forms such as a DUCK or even a DOG to test the temperament of a mans true SOUL. Yet two men, known only as MEZILE, paved the way for the THREE HORSEMEN to ride throughout the nights in the hopes of komposing Delta Omegas legacy. 

But the journey was not without the entanglement of TAR BABYs while this destiny continued to unfolded.  The great things that Delta Omega would do in the years to kome were only the tip of the ICEBERG.  The brothers of the chapter were now well established on the kampus through service and by underlying the fundamental purposes of the fraternity, but they were not beyond kapturing the hearts of all the women as the fraternity of CASSANOVAs in komparison to all the organizations to follow.  With any romance may also come the GRAPES OF WRATH, but it was nothing that an intellect the kaliber of an OCEANS 11s krew could not escape.

Temptation ran high as the brothers occasionally visited the DEVILS ISLAND within; nevertheless the chapter was so highly organized and the bond of brothers so deeply forged that it began to resemble the Mafias COSA NOSTRA as a SABAT within the sea of mediocrity that surrounded these men of Achievement. It existed with a tradition so engrained that not even ancient Greek OLYMPUS could compare in the test of time.  These DESPERADOS were rarely in SOLITAIRE, much like hybrid schools of GALAXIA, but with UNSCRUPULOUS consciences as they continued to break through barriers of contemporary society. 

With so much success, these KONQUERERS then sought a new path in un-chartered waters by allowing men who had Phi Nu Pi deep in their hearts to comprise the combined line of KRYSTALUS spinning off as Iota Omega when they request to have their designation order rearranged to symbolize the unique bond of the two chapters; this was the beginning of the Trinity Formation.  Although the journey had been nothing less than KAOTIC, the new generation was DAMNED DETERMINED to be the KATALYST for the motivation to achieve.  KONVERSION to become the leaders of tomorrow was embedded in the NUCLEUS that comprised Delta Omega and it was not divulged until a REVELATION occurred.  The loyalty and honor that the brothers embodied made them KAVALIERS incomparable to any other man throughout the orderly KOSMOS.  The divine wind of this unprecedented chapter could now survive any KAMIKAZI that it faced as the KRUSADERS began to weave the new GENESIS that gained speed with their KENESIS.  This KONCEPTION was so bright and groundbreaking that its KANDESCENCE would never burn out; this was their KAVEAT warning to those who did not truly have the ideals of our illustrious founders in their hearts nor the strength of KARNELIAN comprising what so many generations had worked decades to create.  But an INSURREKTION away from contentment with sole existence began to rise against the political regime and ended in this uprisings annihilation. 

The walls of Mizzou fell silent for a number of years in the hopes of Kappas return.  Secretly men that refused to settle for anything second rate gained their opportunity before the end of their college years, spawning the RESURREKTION that paved the way for the FOURTUNATE SOULS to follow.  Although the new beginning was not without KRISIS, an elite special task force formed the KOMMISSION to continue the rekonstruction.  The secrets of our history were unveiled in the APOKALYPSE of the last of a dying breed.  Treachery and turmoil would momentarily plague the chapter as it faced the KATAKLYSM; yet the determination of the remaining past combined with the merit of the new elite solidified the legacy of Delta Omega to live until the end of time.  But just as the chapter reached this all new profound level of Achievement and success, the apathy of many of those who came before threaten to shake the new foundation ending in an indefinite freeze and halt of all activities.

So is this the end? How do we rekindle what Kappa once meant in the moment when those of the past crossed the burning sands?  Will this legacy become a myth echoed in the walls and throughout the state once again before we reach our half century anniversary? Or will those shadows of the past once again step up to guide their legacy in a renewed sense of hope. Will dedication to a pledge they made so long ago kontinue to be fulfilled to keep this legacy alive? Only time would tell...
