"I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now." -Ghandi

Habitat for Humanity focuses on building hope in partnership with those in need. A campus chapter is a student-led, student-initiated organization on a high school or college campus that partners with the local affiliate to fulfill the four functions of a campus chapter (building, fundraising, advocating, and educating).

The Missouri State University Chapter of Habitat is a recognized student organization that was formed in 1988. Since its beginning, students from this chapter have participated in the building of more than 50 Habitat houses throughout the Midwest. This amazing number was achieved by going on numerous Spring Break work trips and by working closely with the Habitat-Springfield affiliate. Since 1999, the chapter has arranged the complete funding for and coordinated the complete building of ten houses in Springfield. It has also rehabilitated a 100 year old house for a local Habitat family, That makes this chapter one of the  most active in the nation. Throughout the years, thousands of students and campus members have worked with this chapter to make a difference for local families.
