The Gamma Iota Sigma Scholarship is given to encourage attention to particular areas of collegiate chapter activity. Chapter performance, which merits scholarship consideration, mirrors the criteria established for the Bowers Award.
To be awarded the Gamma Iota Sigma scholarship, each criteria category is quantifiable and each category is assigned a weight. From the information submitted on the collegiate chapter monthly report form, the individual chapter receives the applicable number of earned points in each category. Individual chapters will be ranked in each weighted category.
The chapter receiving the highest accumulative ranking within ALL categories during the rating period will be awarded the $300 scholarship at the Annual Management Conference.
