1.         Introduction

Traci began the meeting by again giving a brief introduction of AITP

2.         Officer Positions opening

Elections for new officers are coming up.  Anyone interested in a position should talk to a current officer.  All positions will be available, except the President position which is to be held by a past AITP officer.

3.         National Programming Contest

            The National Programming Contest will be held in Omaha, Nebraska on
            April 1^St – April 3^rd.  The local contest will not be held but anyone interested
            in competing nationally should see an officer in AITP for more details.

4.         What’s New in the IT World?

Jenny McGuire, Secretary, put together a power-point presentation on several topics dealing with IT.  Those topics included:  Viruses, Intel’s new server chip, and iPods and iTunes.  This is a new idea to AITP and will be implemented in upcoming meetings.           

5.         Ice Breaker!!!

Traci, President, lead the members and guests in a “get to know you” exercise.  Attendees were asked to fill out a sheet with their name, class, goals, events, why they joined AITP, and an interesting fact about themselves.

8.         Closing

The meeting was adjourned with refreshments of pizza and soda.  Attendees were reminded of next meeting April 7^th; we will have a speaker from Emerging Technologies.
