"A Kappa Sigma, The Most Wanted Man in the Country."

   Kappa Sigma has one of the most comprehensive and rewarding pledge programs offered at Missouri State University.  The pledge semester is spent sharing with them a knowledge of Kappa Sigma, and preparing them for initiation into the house. It should be noted that Kappa Sigma in general and Mu-Rho specifically holds very strongly to an anti-hazing commitment.  No activities are performed that in any way impair, endanger, or embarrass our pledges.  We recognize that these pledges represent the future of our house, and cultivate commitment and respect through positive reinforcement rather than antiquated hazing practices.

    Our commitment to creating a positive pledge atmosphere can be seen in the quality of our brothers, who were of course once pledges themselves. At the same time, we offer fairly stringent academic challenges to our pledges, demanding a minimum grade point average for initiation into the house; this practice sets the groundwork for positive academic accomplishment throughout new member's scholastic careers.

Kappa Sigma Rush occurs 365 days a year, as we are always on the lookout for great young men to join our brotherhood. By browsing this site, you should be able to get a pretty good idea of what Kappa Sigma is all about: Scholarship, Leadership, Fellowship and Service.

Scholarship
You're in college for an education. Kappa Sigma helps you excel in the classroom. From its earliest beginnings in Renaissance Italy, Kappa Sigma has existed to promote scholarship in its members. Over $250,000 is awarded each year by the Kappa Sigma Endowment Fund to Brothers who excel in scholarship and leadership. At the chapter level, Brothers help you learn about the campus, provide advice on professors and classes and help you study for those important assignments.

Leadership
Take the lead. In Kappa Sigma, Brothers learn to get involved in their communities and take the lead when something needs to be done. Countless Brothers, including senators, governors and CEOs, have said Kappa Sigma gave them the leadership skills they needed to succeed.
