Presidential Candidate Bios:
Sarah Riccardi
I am first-year graduate student and assistant in Religious Studies. I am interested in serving on the Graduate Student Council in order to voice the ideas and interests of graduate students. As an undergraduate, I was President of the Religious Studies Club for two years and Vice President of Theta Alpha Kappa for the same duration. During my tenure, the RSC received two departmental grants and membership and participation doubled. I believe my strong background in leadership and my willingness to create a campus-wide dialogue will create more opportunities for graduate student involvement.
Vice-President Candidates Bios:
William Grady Cooper
I graduated in 1991 with my B.S. in Elementary Education and minor in Psychology. I was the owner/operator of PICTURE THIS for 16 years in Springfield. I managed employees, maintained customer relations and much more. I coach youth sports, play fastpitch softball, and enjoy coffee at the Mudhouse. I am working on my masters in Elementary Education.
My goal is to heighten communication among graduate students and the university. With my leadership experience, I'll be able to represent fellow students while keeping and "open ear" to their questions. I hope to make everyone feel more involved with the campus. I'm able to be on campus as needed and will put forth my best effort as Vice-President.
