Graduate Student Council

2007-2008 Focus

GOALS AND DIRECTION (SHAPING AND ENHANCING THE GRADUATE STUDENT EXPERIENCE)

In addition to enhancing communication and sponsoring activities, the 2007-2008 Graduate Student Council will have a 3-fold focus:

1.  Education, Scholarship and Professional Development

2.  Student Life and Advocacy

3.  Social and Service Activities

As a council member, you will plan regularly-scheduled activities, such as the Fall Pizza Party Social and the Graduate Interdisciplinary Forum held in the Spring.  In addition, you will formulate, evaluate and establish the need for a few specific objectives and steer your individual committee to fulfill them. Other activities will include the promotion of research workshops and resources.
