Janna Keller

Hi, my name is Janna Keller.  I’m from a small town that hardly anyone has ever heard of, let alone seen, called Owensville, Missouri.  In high school I was extremely active in clubs and sports.  Although I was never very athletic, I still loved sports so I played volleyball and managed the Basketball and Baseball teams.  In my spare time I like to just hang out with friends and watch movies or do something that requires at least some physical activity.

I was first interested in MSU because both of my older siblings go here and it just seemed natural for me to come here as well.  But I finally decided on Missouri State because of the opportunities in their accelerated nursing program.  My major is nursing and I intend on getting a minor in either healthcare management or hospital administration and I can do that in 5 years or less here at MSU where it would take at least 6 years at any other school.  That is also why I wanted to join AKPsi.  As a nursing major, I am not exposed to the business side of things very often but I know that I will need that experience if I am going to be effective as a head nurse somewhere.

Let’s see, here are just some random things about me.  I’m one of four kids and our names all start with J and we all look very similar.  Family and friends are the two most important things to me and I would do anything for them.  My favorite colors are pink and orange, and I absolutely love Mexican and Italian food, especially lasagna.  And of course I love chocolate!  At some time in my life I’ve participated in almost every sport my community had to offer, including gymnastic and sports acrobatics.  When it’s nice out, you could probably find me outside somewhere playing sports or chilling with some friends.  I’m pretty much a sci-fi junky when it comes to movies, but I also like comedies and action.
